Fundamental Clinic: Cost:   $250.00 (Location Glenmore Sailing Club)

Friday April 14th               6-9 p.m.

Saturday April 15th          9a.m-5 p.m.

Sunday April 16th             9 a.m-5 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: The Fundamental clinic is the on land theoretical
component of coaching theory for sailing instructors. This is a required
course to becoming an instructor at any level. Students will be taught basic
coaching theory informed by the National Coaching Certification Program
(NCCP) through a variety of exercises, activities and lectures. This is the
1st course of 2 required to become an Sail Canada certified Sailing
Instructor.

Technical Clinic 1/2 (The Institute) Cost $450.00 (Location Glenmore Sailing School)
Friday May 12th-          6-10 p.m (Coach Boat Safety Technical and Land Components)

Saturday May 13th        9a.m.-9 p.m Coach Boat Safety

Sunday May 14th          9 a.m-9 p.m (Tech 1/2)

Friday May 19th           6 p.m-10 p.m (Tech 1/2)

Saturday May 20th      9 a.m-9 p.m (Tech 1/2)

Sunday May 21st          9 a.m.-5 p.m (Wetfeet Module)

Monday May 22           9 a.m-5 p.m. (Evaluations)
DESCRIPTION: The INSTITUTE is a course combining Coach Boat Safety,
CANSail ½ Technical Component, and the Wetfeet sailing module. There
is also an evaluation at the end of the course to move students from a
“trained” to “certified” status for their CANSail ½ coaching level. The Course
runs over two weekends and is a comprehensive course in on-water
coaching. This is the final course required to become a sailing instructor.
Students are required to have a valid PCOC license onsite as well as
Standard First aid/CPR.

CANSail  1/2 3/4 Evaluation ONLY:             Cost $100.00  (Location Glenmore Sailing School)

Monday May 22nd             9 a.m -5 p.m

DESCRIPTION: This is an evaluation ONLY for instructor candidates who
have taken a CANSail Technical clinic ½ or ¾ but have not achieved a
“certified” status. Candidates will be assigned a land and water lesson,
ahead of time, and will be evaluated on their teaching/coaching ability.

Coach Boat Safety Recertification ONLY:     Cost $100.00 (Location Glenmore Sailing School)

Saturday May 13th             9 a.m – 5 p.m

DESCRIPTION: This is for sailing instructors whose coach boat safety
certification has EXPIRED and are looking to re-certify ONLY. This is not
for candidates who have previously not taken this course.

CANSail 3/4 Clinic:                Cost $250.00  (Location Glenmore Sailing School)

Friday June 23                       6 p.m – 10 p.m.

Saturday June 24th               9 a.m. -9 p.m.

Sunday June 25th                 9  a.m – 5 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: This course is for instructor candidates who are looking to gain certification at a CANSail ¾ level. This weekend course will outline teaching techniques and methods specific to CANSail ¾ material. There will be an evaluation to move students from a “trained” to “certified” status
at the end of the clinic.
