Sailor’s Information Meeting: Saturday August 5th at 1100 on the Zeiner Park Beach at 53o 03’45.72”N; 114o 09’ 52.90”W (see Figures 1, 2 & 3).

Y Flyer Show and Shine: Participate in the show and shine Saturday August 5th at 11:00. Boats will be pulled up on the sandy beach of Zeiner Park. Meet other sailors, and show and tell us about your boat – construction, history, rigging, repairs, refinishing, restoration, etc.  Bring a bag lunch.

Poker Rally: A poker rally will begin after the show and shine. It will start from Zeiner Park at 12:30pm. There will be five stations and a support powerboat will move between sailboats and the stations. One playing card will be given to each crew at each station. Stations will be in the western sector of Pigeon Lake (Figure 2).  IYC members sailing in any class of sailboat are encouraged to join the resident and visiting Y Flyer sailors in the poker rally. On Saturday evening, we’ll get together at a nearby Y Flyer sailor’s acreage for a BYO Barbecue. At the barbecue donated prizes will be awarded to the sailors who collected the best card hands.

Sunday Events: On Sunday, we’ll participate in the annual IYC “Across the Lake” race. It will start at 1030 AM offshore of the Zeiner Park/Mitchell Beach area and finish at Itaska Beach. An additional 1-2 short races will be held before or after the across the lake sail. Then we’ll meet at an Itaska Yacht Club member’s cottage for coffee, and to discuss the events of the day. CYFYRA plaques will be awarded to the top three Y Flyers.
