Join Our Team as Youth Coordinator:
The Youth Sailing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all youth programming at the club. This role combines program development, staff supervision, and community engagement to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for young sailors of all skill levels. Working closely with the Sailing Manager, this role oversees the following portfolio of youth sailing activities.
• Scouts/Guides
• MOSS
• Summer Camps
• Private Lesson
• Race teams
• School Groups
Key Duties:
• Creating youth sailing programs, camps, and clinics for various age groups and skill levels
• Recruit, train, and supervise instructors and volunteers
• Approve staff schedules and coordinate daily program operations
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Manage registrations and program records
• Budgeting and resource allocation
• Grant Writing
• Build relationships with parents, schools, and community organizations
• Promote youth sailing programs through outreach and events
Key Skills:
• Organization
• Familiarity with CANSail Program would be an asset
